EthicaAI Fellowship Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Fellowship Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the EthicaAI Fellowship ("Fellowship").By applying to, participating in, or accessing Fellowship materials, participants agree to comply with these Terms, the EthicaAI Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and any additional program requirements communicated by EthicaAI.

2. Purpose of the Fellowship

The EthicaAI Fellowship is an educational and community-based program designed to support participants in exploring problems, conducting research, developing ideas, and creating meaningful contributions through publications, frameworks, initiatives, prototypes, policy recommendations, or other approved deliverables.

Participation in the Fellowship does not create an employment relationship, partnership, agency relationship, or joint venture with EthicaAI.

3. Eligibility

Participants must:

  • Meet any eligibility requirements outlined for the specific cohort.

  • Provide accurate information during the application process.

  • Comply with all Fellowship policies and community standards.

  • Participate in good faith and maintain professional conduct.

EthicaAI reserves the right to accept or reject applications at its sole discretion.

4. Participation Expectations

Participants are expected to:

  • Complete assigned deliverables

  • Participate in peer review activities where applicable

  • Provide constructive feedback.

  • Maintain professional and ethical conduct

5. Ownership of Participant Work

Participants retain ownership of original work they create during the Fellowship.This includes:Research papersFrameworksPublicationsPrototypesPresentationsReportsProjectsOther original deliverablesEthicaAI does not claim ownership of participant-created intellectual property.

6. License to EthicaAI

By submitting content to the Fellowship, participants grant EthicaAI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Display submitted work

  • Publish submitted work

  • Archive submitted work

  • Share submitted work within Fellowship communities

  • Feature submitted work on EthicaAI platforms

  • Promote Fellowship outcomes

This license exists solely to support educational, research, community, and promotional activities related to the Fellowship.Participants may request removal of publicly displayed content, subject to reasonable administrative limitations.

7. Public Display of Fellowship Work

  • Participants acknowledge that Fellowship deliverables may be:

  • Shared within the Fellowship communityDisplayed on member platforms

  • Published on EthicaAI websitesIncluded in showcase eventsReferenced in Fellowship publicationsParticipants should not submit confidential, proprietary, classified, or otherwise restricted information unless they possess the necessary rights and permissions.

8. Peer Review

The Fellowship may incorporate peer review, discussion, and collaborative feedback.Participants agree that:

Feedback provided by other participants represents individual opinions.EthicaAI is not responsible for peer feedback.Respectful and constructive engagement is required.Harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks are prohibited.

9. Academic Integrity

  • Participants must submit original work.The following are prohibited:

  • PlagiarismFabrication of sources

  • Misrepresentation of authorshipUnauthorized use of copyrighted material

  • Fraudulent claims

  • Submission of another person's work as one's own

EthicaAI reserves the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action.

10. Artificial Intelligence Use

The Fellowship recognizes that AI tools may support research, ideation, writing, analysis, and development.Participants remain fully responsible for:

  • Verifying outputs

  • Fact-checking information

  • Disclosing AI usage where requested

  • Ensuring originality of final submissions

  • Use of AI does not transfer responsibility for submitted work.

11. Removal from the Fellowship

EthicaAI reserves the right to suspend or remove participants who:

Violate Fellowship policies

Engage in misconduct

Harass participants or staf

Plagiarize workDisrupt program activitiesDamage the reputation or integrity of the FellowshipRemoval decisions are final and may be made at EthicaAI's discretion.

12. Certificates and Recognition

Completion certificates, recognition, or awards may be issued at EthicaAI's discretion.Participation alone does not guarantee certification.Participants must satisfy any completion requirements established for their cohort.

13. No Guarantee of Outcomes

EthicaAI does not guarantee:

  • Employment opportunities

  • Funding opportunities

  • Publication acceptance outside EthicaAI

  • Business success

  • Research outcomes

  • Partnerships

  • Recognition

The Fellowship is intended as an educational and developmental opportunity.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EthicaAI, its founder, advisors, volunteers, contributors, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from participation in the Fellowship.Participation is voluntary and undertaken at the participant's own risk.

15. Modifications

EthicaAI may update these Terms periodically.Continued participation following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
