Shadae McIntosh

Shadae McIntosh is currently completing a Policy & Governance Internship with the Jamaica Artificial Intelligence Association (JAIA) and is a Diplo alumna, having completed the DiploFoundation AI Apprenticeship. Passionate about continuous learning and personal development, Her interest in artificial intelligence stems from a desire to ensure emerging technologies are developed and used ethically, leading her to create a chatbot on safeguarding AI, data, and enterprise during her Diplo apprenticeship. She will be pursuing a M.Sc. in Cybersecurity Management, Law and Policy, building on her longstanding interest in data protection, privacy, and responsible technology governance. Through the EthicaAI Caribbean Fellowship’s focus on building ethical, inclusive AI, she hopes to investigate the barriers limiting AI adoption in Caribbean classrooms and contribute a practical, locally grounded framework to help educators integrate AI responsibly and equitably.
